Chicago Bungalow Homes

At the beginning of the twentieth century, bungalow houses were all the rage. During their heyday, these houses were virtually synonymous with the Arts and Crafts movement, an era famous for its designs and craftsman-quality workmanship. Defining the bungalow style is not especially easy since each era has revamped the style with new features. Traditionally, a bungalow home is a one-story house that may be large or small in nature. They typically have a sloped roof and sometimes a half story. Some bungalows are raised or feature basements. These types of houses tend to have expansive common areas like living rooms and dining rooms and smaller bedrooms. Many home designers have 'played' with the style and incorporated special features in homes like large porches and built-in features.

The Chicago region is well-known for its many bungalow houses owing to the popularity of the style. I can help you find a bungalow that meets your needs in terms of size, location, and price.
